Sales Executive

Role
As an Sales Executive, you will be responsible for generating and closing new business opportunities for Sophos products. Working in a highly interactive team setting, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career further in a specialist environment. You will be playing a key role by influencing prospects to buy Sophos solutions in this highly competitive displacement sales position. You will engage all internal resources at your disposal including Sales Engineers and our Channel team to further penetrate your territory.
This inside sales position is based at our US office in Burlington, Massachusetts. This position does not allow for remote workers.
Main duties
- Develop, manage, and report on a sales pipeline within the territory
- Create and implement a strategic territory plan
- Provide accurate weekly revenue forecasts
- Work with Channel Partners to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Work with resellers to develop their understanding of the Sophos Channel Program
- Engage resources and people within Sophos to ensure successful relationships with Channel Partners
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of Sophos products and services
- Adhere to CRM, business systems and activity management standards
Experience and skills
- Excellent knowledge of the corporate market and its dynamics
- Experience working with channels
- Experience in developing mutually beneficial relationships
- Grounding in the computer security market
- 2+ years' experience of software sales, preferably in a security-related field
- Extensive and consistent cold calling skills in a hunter role, preferably in enterprise software sales
- A proven track record of closing deals on the phone
- Past channel exposure (preferable)

- Have strong negotiating skills
- Be able to exceed individual monthly and quarterly quotas
- Be able to develop new territories
