Klaus-Dietrich became Managing Director of Sophos S.r.l., Italy, in 2005. He has worked in a variety of roles in the internet, consultancy and financial services sectors throughout his career: he has been Assistant to the Vice President of Tengelmann Group, Project Manager for KPMG Corporate Finance, CFO at Interhyp AG and CFO/Managing Director at PlanetHome AG, part of HypoVereinsbank Group (now part of the Italian banking group Unicredito).

Klaus-Dietrich studied in Parma, Italy and in Berkeley, California and completed his studies in Economics at the European Business School in Germany.
