Sophos Anti-Virus Emergency SAV Disk Creation Kit

The files in this directory form a kit for creating the Sophos Anti-Virus
Emergency SAV disks. These disks include the file SWEEP.EXE, Sophos's 
command-line virus detector and disinfector for DOS. In an emergency, this is
the single most useful program in the Sophos Anti-Virus range, as it can be
used on almost all computers, including those with DOS, Windows 3.1x,
Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows 2000, OS/2 or NetWare
installed.

You will need a supply of blank (or reusable) floppy disks. From this 
directory, run:

  ESDMAKE.BAT

and follow the instructions on screen.

Instructions on the use of the Emergency SAV disks can be found in the file
READESD.TXT on the newly created Emergency SAV disk.


Creating Emergency SAV disks with SFWRITE
-----------------------------------------

Customers should normally run the batch file ESDMAKE.BAT from the DISKIMGS
folder on the Sophos CD.

Alternatively SFWRITE.EXE can be used to create each disk individually.

To use SFWRITE to write to drive A: (physical floppy drive 0), issue the
command:

  SFWRITE FILENAME.IMG

To write to drive B: (physical floppy drive 1), use:

  SFWRITE -D=1 FILENAME.IMG

FILENAME.IMG should be one of the following:

  SVDZ410C.IMG  Emergency SAV Virus data disk 1
  SVDZ420T.IMG  Emergency SAV Virus data disk 2
  SVDZ430F.IMG  Emergency SAV Virus data disk 3
