Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac OS 8 or OS 9: configuring the on-access scanner (InterCheck)

This product is nearing retirement. We strongly recommend that you upgrade in order to ensure your protection stays fully up to date.

The Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac OS 8 or 9 on-access scanner (InterCheck) can be installed and operated independently of the on-demand scanner, but the preference options are part of the on-demand scanner module so both should be installed for the on-access scanning configuration options to be changed.

Update your installation, checking that both components are present. You can confirm whether the on-access scanner is installed and active by selecting the 'InterCheck' page in the Sophos Anti-Virus console.
