Sophos Anti-Virus for NetApp Storage Systems: error message "Service 'Sophos Anti-Virus for NetApp' [...] failed to start"
During the installation of Sophos
"Service 'Sophos "
This is usually because the user does not have the right to 'Logon as a service'.
What to do
- Check that the user has the right to log on as a service.
If problems persist, do as follows
- Click 'Ignore'.
- After installation has completed, open services.
- Locate 'Sophos
Anti-Virus for NetApp' in the list. - Right-click it, and select 'Properties'.
- Select the Log On tab.
- Click 'Browse'.
- Ensure that the loction selected is the domain, and not the local computer.
- Enter the name of the domain user.
- Click 'OK'.
- Enter the correct password and confirm it.
- Click 'Apply'.
- Click 'OK'.
- Right-click the service, and select 'Start'.
