Sophos Anti-Virus for NetApp Storage Systems: error message "Virus scanning is enabled but no clients are registered..."
With Sophos
[rc:warning]: CIFS: Virus scanning is enabled but no clients are registered as virus scanners.
[rpc_0:warning]: CIFS: Virus scanner 10.44.100.43 attempted to register but had insufficient privilege.
[CIFSVScan:warning]: CIFS: Virus scanning is enabled but no clients are registered as virus scanners.
This happens when the user specified to run the service does not have sufficient privileges.
What to do
Check that the user
- has either Administrator or Backup Operator permissions
- has the right to log on as a service.
