EM Library: tips for Macintosh computers

The following issues have been found when EM Library packages are used on Macintosh computers:

  1. Computer requirements
    You must ensure that Macintosh Central Installation Directories (CIDs) are placed on computers running NTFS with an Appleshare driver installed.
  2. Using EM Library to update Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac
    Sophos recommends that you install the CID for Macintoshes either on the computer running EM Library (the default location), or on a computer with a reasonably fast network connection to it. This is because any updates to the CID will cause its complete replacement.
  3. The Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac EM Library package
    The Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac EM Library package does not support the option to run Sophos Anti-Virus from the Sophos CD.
