EM Library 1.1: customised packages and invalid file in CID warnings

This product is nearing retirement. We strongly recommend that you upgrade in order to ensure your protection stays fully up to date.

If you have set up customised packages with EM Library 1.1, you may encounter a warning that the file 'sdf.xml' in the Central Installation Directory (CID) is invalid. This warning will be displayed during every update. On computers running Remote Update the update process will start to copy files and then fail when copying the file 'sdf.xml'.

This problem has been resolved in the most recent Windows default packages available for download from the databank. However, during the installation of the patched versions further warning messages may be displayed.

What to do

If the following warning message is displayed:

"Failed to update CID. Post-deployment failed. INDEX 0x800040d26"

in the EM Library console, click 'Download Packages'.

The warning message should not be displayed after the next download.

If you need more information or guidance, then please contact technical support.
