Sophos Anti-Virus SBE: how to upgrade to version 1.0.2

You can upgrade to Sophos Anti-Virus Small Business Edition (SBE) version 1.0.2, or make a fresh installation.

All existing customers should upgrade to 1.0.2, particularly if they are experiencing installation issues, or problems with updating or server performance.

Note: Existing customers will not automatically be sent a CD. Download the upgrade from the downloads area of the website.

New customers should install Sophos Anti-Virus SBE version 1.0.2 from the Sophos website, or from the new version of the Small Business Suite CD. Follow the instructions in the Sophos Anti-Virus Small Business Edition startup guide.

What to do

  1. In the Sophos Control Center, check that your computers are not currently updating. Wait for them to finish if they are.
  2. Shut down the Sophos Control Center.
  3. Log on as administrator.
  4. Download the files from the Sophos website.
  5. Double-click the downloaded file, then click 'Install'.
  6. Click 'Next' to continue. Wait while the upgrade takes place.
  7. Click 'Finish'.

If you want to check that the upgrade has taken place, open the Sophos Control Center and select Help|About Sophos Control Center. The product version should be 1.0.2.
