EM Library: scheduler service fails to start

The EM Library scheduler service fails to start and returns an error code:

EM Library scheduler errors may also be seen in the event log on the server (or the computer hosting EM Library).

What to do

  1. Locate and delete the file ssdata.idx. By default this is located in C:\Program Files\Sophos Enterprise Manager\Library\bin.
  2. Open EM library and recreate the schedule.
  3. If necessary, go into Windows services, and ensure that the EM Library scheduler service starts.
