Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows: support for Vista

Sophos is providing support for Microsoft Windows Vista with an updated version of Sophos Anti-Virus; Sophos Anti-Virus version 6.5, available for both Sophos enterprise solutions and Sophos small business solutions.

This includes our integrated Host Intrusion Prevention (HIPS) technology: Behavioral Genotype and supports both 32- and 64-bit versions of Vista.

Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+, version 6.5, is updated automatically from version 6.0.x. You will not need to take any action.

Sophos Anti-Virus, version 6.5 was released to be ready for official release of Vista in November 2006.

Sophos plans to include support for Vista in the next major versions of Enterprise Console, Sophos Control Center and Sophos Client Firewall. We do not , however, plan to provide full support for Vista for the current versions of Enterprise Console, Sophos Control Center and Sophos Client Firewall on Vista.

If you are still running Sophos Anti-Virus version 4.1x, you should upgrade now.
