What to do
Ensure that the credentials specified to manage the Central Installation Directory(s) (CIDs) are correct.
These can be CID specific or globally set. One of the most common causes of this problem is that you have changed the account password, but did not changed the password in EM Library. At each point where you check the details in the procedure below, enter the current password.
To check if credentials are specified at the CID level:
- Open the EM Library Console.
- In the tree view on the left, select 'Central Installations'.
- Locate the CID, right-click, select 'Properties', and then the 'Credentials' tab.
- If specified, ensure these details are correct.
If not specified at the CID level, then the CID is being updated by the 'global' account.
To check which account is being used globally by EM Library:
- Open EM Library Console.
- Select Tools|Options and open the 'Security' tab. The account is specified as the 'EM Library account for services'.
- Ensure the details for this account are correct.
