MailMonitor: overview
MailMonitor intercepts and checks incoming and outgoing mail, including attachments compressed with Zip and other popular utilities, passing through the mail gateway. Administrators, senders and intended recipients are automatically alerted on receipt of virus-infected email. Every virus incident is automatically reported to the administrator.

Upgrading to current Sophos products
MailMonitor for SMTP is now in maintenance, and will be retired in the near future; MailMonitor for Notes/Domino and MailMonitor for Exchange have been retired.
You should upgrade to the equivalent PureMessage product, or to another gateway solution.
