Enterprise Console: error message when Libraries button clicked
On a computer running Enterprise Console, one of the following error messages may be displayed when the Libraries button in the console is clicked:
Could not launch EM Library. Check that it is installed on this computer.
or
MMC cannot open the file C:\program files\sophos\enterprise console\emconsole\console\bin\Sophos Enterprise Manager.msc.
This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console, or was created by a later version of MMC. This may also be because you do not have sufficient rights to the file.
This happens where EM Library console is not present on the computer concerned.
What to do
If you do not want to use the EM Library console on that computer, this message can be safely ignored.
Otherwise, reinstall EM Library.
- In the Windows Control Panel, open 'Add/Remove programs' and select 'Sophos EM Library'.
- Select 'Change'.
- Select 'Add/remove components'.
- Reinstall EM Library.
