Advisory: Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+, version 5 is being automatically updated to version 6.5
Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+, version 6.5, will be available on the Sophos databanks from 8 January 2007. This is an update for Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows, version 5.2, which will shortly be retired.
In most cases, existing customers' computers/networks will be automatically updated. However, under some circumstances, updating is not automatic, for example if you download updates from a location other than the 'es-latest' databanks.
What to do
- In order that your system is automatically updated to Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+, version 6.5, you must ensure that your network is configured to update from the
NOTE: This is a large update, it can be up to 46 MB. It may take longer to complete the update than usual.
