Sophos NAC Advanced: upgrade does not upgrade profiles that are locked
This article describes why the upgrade to Sophos NAC version 3.0.1 will not upgrade locked profiles. This article also describes how to unlock profiles so that they upgrade properly.
What to do
The upgrade to Sophos NAC version 3.0.1 from version 3.0 will not upgrade profiles that are locked. The upgrade will complete without noticeable errors; however, there will be Loader Tool errors in the Event Log. These errors occur because the upgrade process honors the locks on the profiles and skips upgrading them. Prior to the upgrade, you must unlock all profiles so that they can be updated. If you complete the upgrade without unlocking the profiles, you must unlock the profiles, and then re-install the Sophos NAC application server. You do not need to re-install the Sophos NAC databases.
To unlock profiles:
- Log into the Sophos NAC Web interface.
- Click Manage > Profiles.
- Click the Unlock icon beside all of the profiles that are locked.
