Technical details
Windows Security Centre is set to alert that Sophos Anti-Virus is out-of-date if the consolidated virus library (VDL.DAT) is more than 35 days old. However, it does not take into account the daily update files (IDEs) which contain detection data for the latest current threats. Both versions of Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows mentioned in this alert are still receiving these frequent updates and are therefore still providing the highest levels of protection that Sophos customers demand.
