Tony Young

Tony is Sophos Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO), having served as the company’s CIO since 2016. In this role, he leads enterprise-wide AI adoption across Sophos and is responsible for the strategy, security and management of the global IT organization, and the security of data for Sophos partners and customers worldwide.  Computerworld ranked Sophos in the top 10 list of “Best Places to Work in IT” awards in both 2025 and 2026, and Info-Tech Research Group named the company “Innovator of the Year” in 2025.

Prior to joining Sophos, Tony was CIO at GoPro, the camera maker and content enabler. Before GoPro, Tony served as senior vice president for Informatica Cloud and Subscription Sales where he was responsible for growing Informatica’s global Cloud business. During his career at Informatica Tony also served as CIO, and as executive director of North Asia based in China.

Prior to joining Informatica in 2002, Tony worked at Converge as the Director of Exchange Applications and Mindcrossing as vice president product development. Tony began his career at Hewlett Packard (HP) as a software developer and served for 11 years in a number of information technology and marketing roles. Tony holds a bachelor's degree in Information Systems and a master's degree in Business Administration from Santa Clara University, CA.
